Photography - Creating Depth with iPhone

One thing I've discovered in my quest to improve my photography is portrait mode on the iPhone X. I've been looking for ways to improve my photo-taking skills, and I've found that it's really helpful to be able to have the background become blurred when trying to focus on a subject. While I'm sure a professional camera may do a better or more controlled job, I really appreciate that the iPhone gives this power to a novice like me! It's so much fun to learn!


Here are a couple more side-by-sides of "normal" photos compared to ones done with portrait mode:


I especially love these cherry blossoms, they are so clear in both pictures! Sakura trees are so wonderful to look at...


Anyways, I started becoming really obsessed with using portrait mode when walking around and finding interesting things, here are some samples!
